Make no mistake; GreenPepper Software is a for-profit organization. While the core source code of GreenPepper is released in Open Source, a set of tools is available at a reasonable fee. Our business model is based on the fact that these tools will be very valuable to our clients while allowing us to operate a successful business.

What is unique about our business model is that if a referral becomes an actual sale, GreenPepper will donate 10% of the total sale to a community organization chosen by the referrer (be it an Open Source organization, an Agile Software Development organization or other collaborative software development initiative or a relevant academic organization).
