GreenPepper Open

Core of GreenPepper released in Open Source

We appreciate the value of Open Source; we have contributed to several projects and benefited from others. We are aware of the tremendous synergy and value that can result from this commitment toward openness. GreenPepper itself is a work inspired by other innovative ideas in the community, such as FIT/FitNesse. Therefore, it was essential for us that GreenPepper's core engine source code be released as an Open Source licensing model. See GreenPepper Open Licensing for more details.

By releasing GreenPepper under the Open Source model, we strongly believe that it will accelerate its evolution and improve its set of valuable features, for the benefit of its user base. Given the vast array of tools and technologies currently used in terms of software development, integration into this fragmented architecture requires a collaborative effort from a community of dynamic developers.

GreenPepper Software supports its contributors by:

  • Providing access to a GreenPepper development environment, including Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
  • Offering mailing lists and online discussion forums.
  • Providing a source repository accessible through any standard subversion client and FishEye.
  • Operating a continuous integration server (Bamboo).

For more information on how to take part in the evolution of GreenPepper, see GreenPepper community.
