It seems like Greenhopper is built around JIRA's built in "Version" attribute. I.e. one can show planning board etc. for a particular version.
We have multiple sprint teams and/or sequencial sprints are working towards the same version. However, we still want unique planning boards for each sprint.
Are there any built in support or ideas to solve this issue. It does not sound plesant using the Version attribute to contain sprints as well. This would cause an extensive and possibly confusing Version list.
Have you looked at the Master option?
It will help you create multiple sprints for 1 version.
So if you have 2 Teams it could look like:
o Version 1
oo Sprint 1 TEAM A (Master Version 1)
oo Sprint 1 TEAM B (Master Version 1)
You will then be able to have individual boards for both Sprint and have a more global view of your Version 1.
You could use another approach
o Version 1
oo TEAM A (Master Version 1)
ooo Sprint A-1 (Master TEAM A)
ooo Sprint A-2 (Master TEAM A)
oo TEAM B (Master Version 1)
ooo Sprint B-1 (Master TEAM B)
ooo Sprint B-2 (Master TEAM B)
You will have a better view of the work for each team.
