Hello,
Just installed GreenHopper and its really cool . One Question:

Currently all new bug reports and features whishes have no Fix-Version by default for our projects.
From time to time we collect these Unscheduled Issues and move them to the Product Backlog or directly fix them or close wrong bug reports. This way the number of issues in Unscheduled Version is becomming bigger and bigger. Features are already sorted by Not Done and Done but I would prefer to see only Not Done issues.

Is it possible to hide Done issues in the Planning Board? Do you recommend to create a new version for features that won't be implemented and wrong bug reports?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Here is what we do, but there is a lot more options out there.

We try to keep the Unscheduled as clean as possible. It is our backlog and a well organized and maintained backlog is,I truly think, part of the success of a project.
Now we have created a version called wishlist where we drop the features and requests that we havent looked at or that need more thinking.
For the "NON-bugs" or duplicata we tend to close them in the ongoing sprint since you did spent time to look at them in the ongoing sprint.

For How you see the issues...
Try to avoid the natural sorting. It was meant to have a good feel of GreenHopper for the Trials but it is very very slow. Create your own GreenHopper Ranking field - http://www.greenpeppersoftware.com/confluence/display/GH/PLANNING+BOARD#PLANNINGBOARD-ordering
This one is indexed and therefore much faster. You will also be able do rank issues and so on,very handy.

In your upper left corner you can see the Context. Contexts are basically a filter , sorter and a higlighter. They will help you display the issues based on your needs. You can find all the info on the contexts here: http://www.greenpeppersoftware.com/confluence/display/GH/CONTEXT

The Done option is in there

Hope this helps

Cheers,

We have alot of issues that have been closed without a "fix version". As a result, it's showing up under "Unscheduled" in the Planning Board. What's the best way to not have these issues appear as unscheduled since they are closed and most are resolved. Thanks

What we do is create a dummy fix version called "Obsolete" that acts as a trash can but that we do not purge for historical and traceability reasons.
Then we do a bulk edit via the Issue navigator and move these issues in that version (that is released). It will clean up your backog (unscheduled).

We normally do this before our backlog maintenance.

Cheers,
JC
