Any way to filter tasks board by component

Here is the scenario:
I would like to see the task board by component. Is this possible? Basically I have three teams working on three interdependent components as part of the same project - I would like to track progress on each component separately. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, because the filtering options on the task board are not sufficient.
Or a work around - obviously creating three separate projects is one way to work around this, but I would also like to get a view of the aggregate progress as well.

You can reuse your JIRA filters to build GreenHopper contexts
Create a JIRA filter based on a component and then apply as a context.
