On the planning board, we have T. estimate = 188h, T. spent = 18.0h and T remaining = 170 h.
However, on the chart board, the burndown shows 174 hours left.

Are these calculated differently? I am wondering if the planning board is just subtracted time worked instead of looking at the time remaining?

No M,

There is a bug in the chart computation.
You will find it reported here:
http://www.greenpeppersoftware.com/jira/browse/GHS-19

You can check if it is your case.
A work around is mentioned but It was fixed and should be release next version.

Cheers.

That is not our issue. All of our tasks had original estimations. I looked back at our last sprint and the burndown is wrong there, too. It shows 17 hours left where are really only 13. Should I just wait until the next version to see if it fixes it? Should the burndown and the value on the planning board be the same?

Hi M,

If it is not your case you should then check the limitation of the burndown chart here:
http://www.greenpeppersoftware.com/confluence/display/GH/CHART+BOARD#CHARTBOARD-desc

JIRA is more focusing on the actual remaining times then its history.
So it will not keep any historical on the worklogs which makes it impossible for GreenHopper to track back the edited worklogs.
You wont loose any data but if you edit your worklogs your update will be recorded at the performed date instead of the start date.

Cheers,

Great, then the fix should be officially released in next version.
