Hi guys,
I'm migrating our confluence and greenpepper installation from a server to a new one.
Details:
- Confluence from version 2.1 to version 3.1
- GreenPepper from version 2.3 to version 2.7
Confluence works just well, but when I try to put the greenPepper plug-in in the WEB-INF/lib directory and restart confluence, it just crashes.
When I tried to add the GP plugin from confluence, it told me to do it through WEB-INF/lib.
I got the following error:
Unable to start up Confluence. Fatal error during startup sequence: com.greenpepper.confluence.plugin:greenpepper.lifeCycle () - java.lang.RuntimeException: com.greenpepper.server.GreenPepperServerException: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Could not find datasource
I assume that there might be a problem with the former datasource which is not replicated the same way on the new server. Is there any way to edit it to make it fit with the new environment *before* confluence is launched?
Thanks for the great job you're doing !
Julien,
Octopus Microfinance

Hi,
Have a look at the BANDANA table from Confluence schema, there is an entry for the GreenPepper configuration that indicates the JDNI source name of the database connection. You can delete the row and browse to the GreenPepper configuration. You will need to re-enter the database configuration : you can re-use the previous GreenPepper database - when you will save the database configuration, other configuration will appear based on what's inside the previous database.
Cheers,
Francois D.
