Hi all,

I'm just evaluating GreenHopper in JIRA, and I'm trying to understand what REALLY burndown chart shows me.

I enabled JIRA timetracking, so every task has 3 fields - estimated, remaining and logged time. GH uses these fields to produce burndown chart - total estimated time is sum of burndown and team effort.
But where the "problem" is - if my developers would work more efficent, eg. they spend 4h instead of 5h and close the issue - GH will "burndown" 4 hours only, not 5. If I insist guys to enter all hours at task closure, I will loose very important information how efficent they really are.

I was trying to work it out with custom fields, but JIRA's time tracking fields are not available to choose for custom charts. There's no way to enter an additional field at time tracking section (or I didn't find that).

Do you guys have any idea how to force GH to subtract all time estimated on task closing to get real progress? Else I will stay with ca. 100hrs of pending work with 0 issues at the project end ;)

regards
mqqla
